Richly coloured, turmeric is the dried and ground root of Curcuma longa, Native to Southeast Asia, turmeric powder has a warm, bitter, pepper-like flavour and earthy, mustard-like aroma.

Mild and earthy in flavour, used primarily for its vibrant colour. Add early on during the cooking process. Use to colour rice dishes, curries, lentil dahl and bean dishes.
