The Cashew Tree is grown in many warm countries including Vietnam, Africa, India & South East Asia. Our Cashew Nuts are gas Flushed, vacuum sealed units to ensure no infestation occurs and that the product remains fresh. The Cashew tree reaches about 12m in height and grows a fruit that looks like a pear but in fact, is a Cashew Apple. The Cashew nut is grown out from the base of the Cashew Apple which technically makes the Cashew a seed, not a Nut. Cashews are related to pistachios, mangos and poison ivy.
