Black Sticky Rice is dark coloured like wild rice. Also called black glutinous rice, it is short grained and sticky when fully cooked.
- Appearance & Texture: It is a short-grain rice that is very sticky and chewy. The bran layer is dark purple, not truly black, and it retains this color while creating a creamy texture when cooked.
- Flavor Profile: It has a distinct nutty, slightly sweet taste.
